Special Needs Camp

Does your child love the great outdoors? Registration closes at noon on the friday before each camp, but frequently camps fill long before that. The youngest campers will accept are those who will have completed 5th grade before the summer. In our second fishing-themed week, campers will build on the information they learned about our waterways in week three and continue gaining hands-on experience fishing, learning to catch bait, setting up a fishing pole and catching their own fish. Campers explore iowa underground through caving and hiking in this two-night camping trip. Two different camps are available for each age group, so your child can attend twice in one summer (first curriculum is in june, second is in july). Lyman woods summer camp volunteers gain valuable experience working with children in an adventurous, outdoor setting while meeting and working with other volunteers.
